Commemorative Event at the
Government of Upper Bavaria
On the occation of the formation of the 1000th
foundation the Government of Upper Bavaria invited round to a commemorative
event. The Hermann Hauser Guitar Foundation designed the musical supporting
program. Augustin Wiedemann and the guitar duo Gruber & Maklar played
the guitar.
Some 100 foundation founders, high-ranking Government representatives and
pressmen were present at the event. The welcoming speech was delivered by
district president Werner-Hans Böhm and the feast speech was delivered
by secretary of education Siegfried Schneider. Furthermore, the director
of the Bundesverbandes Deutscher Stiftungen e.V. (German federal association
of foundations) Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Freiherr Axel von Camphausen congratulated
the founders on their initiatives.
According to the Government of Upper Bavaria, the “Hermann Hauser
Guitar Foundation”, the “Stiftung Ute Michels”, the “Tutsek-Stiftung”
for studio glass objects as well as the “Perschten-Stiftung”
are among the most extraordinary foundations. They are exemplary foundations
for culture, and the government estimate that important cultural impulses
will emanate from them.
We are very proud of having accomplished in an impressing way that the classical
guitar has found its way into a government building. Guests and government
representatives were thoroughly impressed by the artists´ virtuosity
and by the sound of the guitars and quint basses. Remarkably, most of the
guests had never before neither listened to nor experienced the guitar in
such an artistic top form. We may be certain that the guitar has found many
new friends by our artistic contribution.
For the
future we wish for “good governance” to go along with guitar
sounds.
