Sponsorship awards

The Board of Trustees of the Hermann Hauser Guitar Foundation unanimously decided to award the "Hermann Hauser Advancement Award 2024", which is endowed with 1,000 euros, to guitarist Evgenij Baev and composer Aglaya Sevastyanova.

In his artistic-educational master's project at the Stella Vorarlberg Private University of Music, Evgenij Baev created a lecture recital entitled "Duo Allein - die gleichzeitige Praxis von Gitarrenspiel und Gesang im Spannungsfeld von einem Lied John Dowlands bis zu einem zeitgenössischen Auftragswerk".

Aglaya Sevastyanova composed the work "Du musst suchen" for third guitar and voice, which represents an extraordinary addition to the repertoire. At the presentation of the project, Evgenij Baev played on a third guitar made by Hermann Hauser Sr. in 1912. The HHGF Board of Trustees particularly emphasized the detailed presentation of the history and significance of the third guitar in Baev's work.

The HHGF acknowledges this as an important contribution to the study of instruments in the context of artistic guitar studies.

As the foundation will not be taking up the subject matter and concerns of completed funding projects again in the foreseeable future, this means constant change, especially in terms of content.
